PowerBuilder Training Overview

This course is designed to provide student with the knowledge required to migrate applications developed in PowerBuilder 8 to the PowerBuilder 9. The course includes discussions of:

• PowerScript enhancements
• Debugger enhancements
• DataWindow enhancements
• DataWindow support for XML
• Database enhancements
• The PowerBuilder Native Interface (PBNI)
• The PowerBuilder Document Object Model (PBDOM)
• The OrcaScript language
• Obsolete features and facilities.
• The process of migrating applications to PowerBuilder 9, including tools to aid in the migration, and resolution of commonly occurring problems.

This hands-on course is designed for application programmers responsible for the migrating PowerBuilder 8 applications to PowerBuilder 9.

• Experience in developing PowerBuilder applications in PowerBuilder 8
