Sybase Training Overview:

This class provides the students with a detailed understanding of the methods they can use to effectively perform their responsibilities as the Sybase system administrator. Prospective students will learn how to install and start a server, how to allocate necessary devices and databases, and the manner by which to set up user accounts and privileges. Backup and recovery procedures will also be discussed, as will the steps to perform when attempting to solve certain run time problems.

Sybase Training Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to efficiently control the day to day running of their Sybase systems, and will recognize the procedures to be followed to properly tune and control the system.

Sybase Training Prerequisites:

Students should have a understanding of the facilities of the Sybase Relational Database Management System. Students should have also attended the Introduction to Sybase and the Transact_SQL Facilities class, or have obtained equivalent knowledge. It would be helpful if the prospective attendees of this class have been working with Sybase for a period of at least 3 months. It is also recommended that the students have already taken the class in Sybase Performance and Tuning Concepts.
